B.Sc. Biotechnology is three years degree course affiliated by Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalay (DAVV), Indore which is available in two combinations:Biotechnology/Chemistry/Life Sciences and Biotechnology/Chemistry/Computer Science. Biotechnology is the application of technology on the living organisms (plants/animal/microbes). When the technology is added with biology, it takes the subject to the level where we can talk about Plant Biotechnology, Animal Biotechnology, Genetic Engineering, Environmental Biotechnology, Agricultural Biotechnology, Industrial Biotechnology. This is the subject which offers various fields to get expert in. And above of all this, when we develop the advanced and updated skills, thorough knowledge and confidence in our students, they definitely shine in their field. Biotechnology is growing rapidly and so many companies (including Government and private both) desire to collaborate and invest their money with the biotechnology industries or companies. So, there is a high demand of biotechnologist in the country and abroad also and that’s why this subject has become a boom carrier for the youngsters. Our aim is to groom the interested candidates in a way so that they can contribute in the growth of nation.
