Dr. Naveen Joshi is serving as Head of the Biotechnology Department and has cross-cultural experience in academics and research. He obtained his doctorate degree in biotechnology from Barkatullah Vishwavidhyalay, Bhopal, (M.P.). He started his career as a scholar at IIHR Bangalore and worked on plant tissue culture techniques for obtaining transgenic crops. Worked on bacterial consortiums to enhance the protein and oil content of soybean crop and developed biofertilizer. Beside researcher, he is an academician by heart and soul with more than a decade of experience with student-centric approaches. The Vice Chancellor of DAVV nominated him as a member of the Board of Studies and Examination committee in biotechnology. He also served as a member of the Board of Studies at Sadhu Vaswani College, Sant Hirdaram Nagar, Bhopal, (M.P). His experience is documented by publications in national and international journals (papers and presentations at national and international conferences) and a plenary session at an international conference. Published a book chapter with an international publisher like Elsevier. Also owed are scientific submissions in the public depository Gene Bank, NCBI, with accession numbers. Served as a research paper reviewer for different journals, like Microbial Ecology, published by Springer. The thrust areas are plant biotechnology, environmental biotechnology, microbial biotechnology, agricultural biotechnology, and medical biotechnology.
